The Tapo C325WB is TP-Link's ColorPro outdoor camera for buyers who care more about low-light colour than pan/tilt movement. It pairs a 1/1.79 inch progressive scan CMOS sensor with an F1.0 lens, 2688 by 1520 video at 20 frames per second, RTSP and ONVIF support, IP66 weatherproofing, Ethernet or Wi-Fi networking, and free person, pet, vehicle, line-crossing, and tamper detection. TapoAppForPC streams the C325WB over the local network alongside the cheaper C320WS and the motorised C520WS.
Design and build target fixed outdoor colour.
The C325WB is a fixed-lens outdoor camera with two built-in spotlights, a rear Ethernet port, a reset button, and a microSD slot up to 512 GB. TP-Link rates the housing IP66, and the box includes the 9V DC power adapter plus waterproof cable attachments. There is no battery option and no pan/tilt motor, which is exactly why the mount angle matters before drilling.
Image quality uses the ColorPro hardware stack.
The C325WB captures 2K QHD 2688 by 1520 video at 20 frames per second over H.264. The low-light claim comes from the hardware: a 1/1.79 inch progressive scan CMOS sensor, an F1.0 lens, and ColorPro night vision rated down to 0.0005 lux in colour, or 0 lux with the spotlights on. The 127-degree diagonal field of view is wider than C320WS but still fixed.
Night vision is colour-first, not spotlight-first.
Unlike smaller Tapo outdoor cameras that lean on a visible spotlight for colour night footage, the C325WB is built to preserve colour under ultra-low light before the spotlights become necessary. That makes it the cleaner choice for a driveway, side gate, or garden where the owner wants colour evidence without lighting the scene on every event.
Audio, siren and AI events add deterrence.
Two-way audio runs through the built-in microphone and speaker with noise cancellation, while the siren is rated at 97 dB at 10 cm. TP-Link's AI set covers motion, person, pet, vehicle, line-crossing, and tamper detection, and those event types are the useful difference between C325WB and a simple motion-only outdoor camera.
RTSP and TapoAppForPC use the wired-camera path.
The C325WB lists RTSP and ONVIF support on TP-Link's official spec sheet. After enabling the Camera Account inside the Tapo phone app, TapoAppForPC finds the camera on the LAN over Wi-Fi or Ethernet and streams the main 2K QHD feed over rtsp://192.168.x.x:554/stream1.
Setup in the web app takes three steps.
Mount the camera, connect the 9V DC power adapter, then open TapoAppForPC and scan the local network. When the C325WB appears, enter the Camera Account username and password; the ColorPro feed joins the desktop grid with AAC audio and a shareable LAN URL for another screen on the same network.
Who should buy the Tapo C325WB.
Buy the C325WB when the angle can stay fixed but night colour matters more than the lowest outdoor price. Pair it with a Tapo C520WS if the same area also needs a motorised sweep.
What we would buy differently.
If the same wall ever needs the camera to sweep instead of stay fixed, we would jump to the C520WS for pan/tilt coverage. If the angle is fixed but the scene is dark past the porch light, the C325WB is the right upgrade over the C320WS.
Verdict on the Tapo C325WB.
The Tapo C325WB is the fixed outdoor Tapo we recommend when colour night detail matters more than the C320WS's lower price. The larger sensor, F1.0 lens, and ColorPro processing are the reason to buy it. Side by side with a C320WS on the same wall, the C325WB kept colour at the back of the driveway where the C320WS dropped toward infrared, which is exactly the gap this camera is built to close.
Put the Tapo C325WB on your desktop grid.
TapoAppForPC streams the Tapo C325WB directly over the local network at its native 2K resolution with live AAC audio. No cloud, no subscription, no Android emulator.
