Terms of use.
What you are buying.
A single-user license to use TapoAppForPC, a desktop viewer application for TP-Link Tapo IP cameras. The license is a one-time purchase of $9.99 USD. There is no subscription, no renewal fee, and no account. You may use TapoAppForPC on any number of personal computers you own, including a Mac and a Windows PC simultaneously, under one license. Commercial redistribution of the application binary is not permitted.
Future upgrade discount.
Every v0.1 web-app purchase that is not refunded earns a one-time 50% discount on the upcoming native Windows and macOS installers shipping in TapoAppForPC v0.2. Regular prices are $13.99 for the Windows installer and $16.99 for the macOS installer, so the discounted prices for v0.1 buyers will be $6.99 and $8.49 respectively. The discount code is emailed to the PayPal address on file the day the native installers ship, has no signup step, and does not expire. One code per v0.1 purchase. Refunded purchases, chargebacks, and disputed transactions forfeit this discount automatically.
Refund policy.
If TapoAppForPC does not work with your Tapo cameras, or you simply change your mind, email hello@tapoappforpc.com within 3 days of purchase and we refund the full $9.99 without questions. No screenshots, no screen shares, no justification required. One refund per customer.
Not affiliated with TP-Link.
TapoAppForPC is an independent third-party application. We are not TP-Link, we do not speak for TP-Link, and we do not have access to TP-Link's firmware source code or release schedule. "Tapo" is a trademark of TP-Link Technologies Co., Ltd. We use the name solely to identify the cameras our software supports, in accordance with nominative fair use.
Compatibility is not guaranteed.
TapoAppForPC relies on the RTSP stream TP-Link ships in current Tapo firmware. TP-Link may disable, change, or remove RTSP support on any camera in a future firmware update. We commit to updating TapoAppForPC to track TP-Link's changes where technically possible, but we cannot guarantee that every Tapo camera will stream forever. Battery-powered Tapo cameras (C425, MagCam, C465, C615F and similar) ship with RTSP disabled at the firmware layer and are explicitly called out as non-streamable inside each of their review pages before you buy a license.
No warranty.
TapoAppForPC is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for loss of footage, missed security events, or any consequential damage arising from use or inability to use the application. TapoAppForPC is not a replacement for a professional monitored alarm system, and you should not rely on it for life-safety or property-protection applications without a secondary monitored service.
Affiliate disclosure.
TapoAppForPC.com participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. Every "Check price on Amazon" button on a Tapo camera review page on this site is an affiliate link. If you buy a camera through one of those links, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. The affiliate relationship does not influence our compatibility findings: we list the cameras that cannot stream inside TapoAppForPC (the Tapo C465 MagCam 4K and the Tapo C615F KIT) in bold at the top of their own review pages, which is the opposite of what a revenue-maximising affiliate hub would do.
Governing law.
These terms are governed by the laws of Bulgaria, where TapoAppForPC is operated. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally by email will be resolved in the courts of Sofia, Bulgaria.
