The Tapo C325WB is the outdoor wired Tapo camera that pairs a 2K starlight sensor with a built-in spotlight to deliver full-colour night video. It ships with a 30 metre infrared backup, IP66 weatherproofing, and person and vehicle detection that runs on-device. TapoAppForPC streams the C325WB directly over local RTSP with sound and zoom, alongside every other wired Tapo in the grid.
Design and build.
The C325WB is a fixed-lens bullet camera with a spotlight ring around the lens barrel. The housing is IP66 rated for sustained outdoor exposure, the mounting bracket is a three-axis arm that bolts to wall or eave, and the power tail is a barrel jack with the adapter shipped in the box. There is no battery option.
Image quality and night vision.
The C325WB captures 2K (2304x1296) at 15 frames per second over RTSP with H.264 inside TapoAppForPC. The starlight sensor handles low-light scenes in colour down to about one lux, and the integrated spotlight kicks in below that threshold to deliver full-colour video out to roughly 30 metres. Infrared night vision takes over at the edge of the spotlight range.
RTSP and TapoAppForPC compatibility.
The C325WB appears on TP-Link's official RTSP support list on firmware 1.2 and later. TapoAppForPC auto-detects it on your local Wi-Fi, pulls the main 2K stream over rtsp://192.168.x.x:554/stream1 with your Camera Account username and password, and renders it inside the browser grid with live audio. The low-resolution sub-stream is also available at /stream2 if you need a battery-friendly secondary feed.
Setup in the web app takes three steps.
Open tapoappforpc.com/app in any desktop browser, click Scan Network, and enter your Camera Account username and password when the wizard lists the C325WB. The camera shows up inside the grid in under a minute with no YAML and no port forwarding.
Who should buy it.
The C325WB is the right pick if your outdoor area needs colour footage after dark, you can run a power cable to the mounting point, and you want a fixed lens rather than a pan-tilt motor. Pair it with a Tapo C520WS if the same area also needs motorised coverage.
Verdict.
The Tapo C325WB is the second outdoor wired Tapo we recommend after the Tapo C320WS. Buy the C325WB when colour night vision matters more than the C320WS's larger installed base. Both cameras stream inside TapoAppForPC with zero exceptions.
Put the Tapo C325WB on your desktop grid.
TapoAppForPC streams the Tapo C325WB directly over the local network at its native 2K resolution with live AAC audio. No cloud, no subscription, no Android emulator.
Tapo C325WB frequently asked questions.
Does the Tapo C325WB support RTSP on TapoAppForPC?
Yes, on firmware 1.2 and later. The C325WB appears on TP-Link's official RTSP list and streams inside TapoAppForPC over rtsp://CAMERA_IP:554/stream1 after you enable a Camera Account in the Tapo phone app.
Does the Tapo C325WB have colour night vision?
Yes. The starlight sensor captures colour footage down to about one lux, and the built-in spotlight extends full-colour range to roughly 30 metres in total darkness. Infrared backup takes over beyond that range.
How much does the Tapo C325WB cost?
Roughly $40 on Amazon US at the time of this review. Check Amazon for the current price.
Is the Tapo C325WB weatherproof?
Yes, IP66 rated. The housing resists heavy rain and dust, and TP-Link rates the operating temperature between -20 and 45 degrees Celsius.
Does the Tapo C325WB work on Mac?
Yes, via TapoAppForPC. The camera has no official Mac software from TP-Link but RTSP works with any desktop viewer, and TapoAppForPC bundles the streaming engine so you can skip VLC and YAML.
