TapoAppForPC Free Beta v0.1.1 — one camera

Extract the whole ZIP. Run start-windows.bat, start-mac.command or start-linux.sh.
Open http://127.0.0.1:1984 in Chrome or Edge. Keep the engine running while viewing.
Windows 10/11 (64-bit), macOS Intel/Apple Silicon and Linux x64/ARM64 builds included.
These beta binaries are not code-signed or notarized.

This first restricted build supports one private-LAN RTSP camera with H.264 live
video. Create a Camera Account in the Tapo mobile app and enter its credentials.
The existing dashboard includes snapshots, digital zoom/pan, fullscreen, PiP,
layout controls, bounded LAN discovery and a separate sample-camera demo.
MSE audio depends on camera/browser codec support. Battery-camera protocols and
LAN sharing are not included in this beta. The paid app is a separate download with separate features.
Free to use during beta. No payment or TP-Link cloud login is required.

Stop viewing in every tab before removing or replacing the camera. The engine
rejects additional cameras, raw playback sources and configuration/port overrides.
The compiled engine embeds the interface. No unrestricted streaming binary ships.
One engine can bind the fixed loopback port at a time. This does not prevent binary
patching/replacement or running isolated VMs or separate computers.

Camera credentials are stored locally in camera.json under:
Windows: %AppData%\TapoAppForPC-Beta
macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/TapoAppForPC-Beta
Linux: ~/.config/TapoAppForPC-Beta (or your XDG_CONFIG_HOME)
Windows: uninstall through Settings > Apps > Installed apps. The uninstaller
offers to delete credentials and settings; snapshots are kept.
macOS: use the included Uninstall TapoAppForPC Beta.command.
Use Remove camera to delete saved credentials. Back up only if you intend to keep them.
